Local and international guests represented their work for peace and shared their thoughts and experience of how to step forward towards a Culture of Peace in today’s world. Guests were also invited to add their questions, reflections and ideas on the topic of peace in the town of Oświęcim.

The event was opened with a speech from the honorable President of Oświęcim, Mr. Janusz Chwierut and followed by the Starosta of Oświęcim, Mr. Zbigniew Starzec.

Other honorable members of the round table discussion were Dr. Leszek Szuster, Director of the International Youth Centre, Dr. Andrzej Kacorzyk, Deputy Director of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, Mr. Darek Maciborek, Director of the Life Festival, Fr Jan Nowak, Director of Centre for Dialogue and Prayer in Oświęcim.
