The One Humanity Institute (OHI) is a global institute without walls represented with a Center located in Oświęcim, Poland, next to Auschwitz.
Acting as an intergenerational hub, OHI Bakery is the launching point and prototype for the larger campus.
It will serve as a co-working space, global meeting hub, and peace library alongside a revitalized bakery. It will again serve the community, its local youth, and visitors from around the world. It will become a living laboratory for solutions for peaceful co-existence for a more compassionate, equitable and just world.
To respond to the needs of the world, OHI Bakery becomes the House of Hope for Ukrainian refugees!
Juxtaposed to the darkest era and evil of human degradation, we plan to construct a thriving local and global community that will illustrate the highest human potential, with the intention of elevating human consciousness via collective vision, intention and actions.
The very word, Auschwitz, is synonymous with one of the darkest chapters of our human history. Thus, there is no more fitting place for creating a peace center to educate of the unimaginable that we are capable of. But a center that will also teach about our capacity for love and compassion. A place where people can be inspired with a vision of a world where we live together with respect for each other and co-creation. A world of sustainable peace. Only together can we open the door to this new future. It’s time.
The prototype of our ground-breaking concept is being launched in two buildings in the historic center of Oświęcim. These buildings carry a lineage rich with stories of those bakery families who previously provided the bread of life to the community.
Auschwitz survivor Dr. Edith Eger feels the world is ready to bake and share bread together again:

Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdry
As he makes his way to school, every morning, Michael’s mind is consumed not by the joys of learning, but by the gnawing ache of hunger that threatens to overshadow his every thought. He is no stranger to the pangs of an empty stomach, for this is a reality he faces each day with stoic resignation.
