Introducing the OHI City of Hope at UN

WHEN:

Spring 2018

WHERE:

United Nations Headquarters, New York

At this highly exclusive one-day event at the UN, we convened dignitaries, philanthropists, strategic partners, thought leaders, heads of UN agencies and media to launch the One Humanity Institute: A City of Hope. We presented the evolving concept that embraces the ideas and activities of peace, anti-violence and long-term healing, and also weighs insights and views while continuing to be fully respectful of the historical past of Auschwitz, while moving into the potential of a modern world that focuses on peace and sustainability. At a closed-door meeting, we engaged individuals who will help us design and steward this vision. Individuals who were invited included Kofi Annan, Bill and Hillary Clinton, a Yad Vashem representative, a Holocaust Survivors representative, the US Ambassador to Poland and Ted Turner.
